About Us
The roots of Utah’s spa industry can be traced back to the Wasatch Front’s very first full service spa – the Sanctuary Day Spa – which opened in the ZCMI Center in 1985. Sanctuary introduced Utah residents to a unique offering of healing treatments mixed with customized beauty and hair services, providing the ultimate escape from the everyday. The concept introduced by Sanctuary is now the blueprint and standard for all day spas in the state.
Today, Sanctuary Day Spa and Salon continues to set the standard for the spa experience, with locations conveniently located at The Gateway and Southtowne Mall.

Spa and Salon Etiquette
Arrival
Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to get yourself acclimated to our environment. Late arrivals may result in shorter treatment time. The regular fee will apply.
Clothing
During treatments, our therapists are trained to drape you appropriately for privacy.
Embrace the Silence
Please speak softly throughout the spa. For the comfort of all our guests, please turn off cell phones and pagers.
Children
As a courtesy to fellow customers, and for your own relaxation, we ask that you not bring children to the spa.
Couples and Groups
We specialize in hosting a variety of group functions. We have rooms specifically designed for a couples’ experience. Let us help you plan your next function.
Product Returns and Exchanges
We will gladly accept any retail return for store credit if returned within 30 days of purchase and if accompanied by a receipt.
Cancellations
If you must cancel, please honor our 24-hour advance notice cancellation policy. Cancellations made with less than a 24-hour notice will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. A credit card is required to hold reservations.
Contra-indications
If you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, nursing, have allergies, or are using any acne medications please notify our spa staff so we may assist you in choosing theright treatment.
Sanctuary Gift Certificates
We offer a variety of gifts perfect for any occasion. Please note that all gift certificates are non-refundable.
Appointment Times
Reservations are preferred, through not always necessary. We do recommend that you always reserve your next experience prior to leaving. This will guarantee the availability of your desired services and times.
Gratuities
Gratuities are not included in spa or salon pricing. Gratuity of 20% is added to parties of 3 or more.
